Reducing noise emissions and increasing cabin comfort are key drivers of the aircraft design process. Aeronautic professionals must take into account the acoustics of the vehicle to meet certification requirements and ensure a pleasurable ride for passengers. Delivering quieter and more comfortable aircrafts has never been more challenging.
Engine noise is mitigated by acoustic liners which have to be carefully optimized to make the most of the available space in the engine nacelle. Actran TM award winning simulation software provides solutions to accurately compute engine noise propagation and absorption in the complex flow conditions that are present during flight.
Improving cabin comfort requires lowering or insulating any source of unpleasant noise. The acoustic transmission through the fuselage is therefore a critical characteristic to analyze in the acoustic simulation.
